Gasless Self-Insulated Flux-Cored MIG Welding Wire

    ‌Self-protection Mechanism‌
    ‌Gas supply-free‌: The flux core contains gasifier (such as carbonate), which decomposes during welding to produce CO₂ and other gases to isolate the air and replace the external gas cylinder.
    ‌Flue core components‌: The metal outer skin wraps the slag-forming agent/deoxidizer/alloy powder, which simultaneously realizes molten pool protection, impurity removal and performance enhancement.

    Selection Tips‌:

    ‌Thin plate operation‌: Φ0.8mm fine wire is preferred (reduce the risk of burn-through).
    ‌High-strength steel welding‌: Match E71T-11 model (add nickel-molybdenum alloy to improve toughness).


    Limitations And Responses‌

    ‌Environmental sensitivity‌


    Wind protection requirements‌:
    When the wind speed is greater than 2m/s, the protective gas is easy to dissipate, and a wind shelter needs to be set up.
    ‌Smoke control‌: The combustion smoke of the flux core is large, so ventilation needs to be strengthened or a gas mask needs to be worn.


    Post-processing‌

    ‌Weld slag cleaning‌: The surface of the weld is covered with a thin slag layer, which needs to be cleaned twice with a wire brush.


    Compared with traditional solid welding wire‌

    Gasless flux-cored welding wire‌
    Protection method: self-generated gas + slag double protection
    Overall cost: reduced by more than 30% (saving gas cylinder costs)
    Applicable scenarios: outdoor/mobile scenarios have significant advantages

    Note: For key structures with weld strength requirements of >500MPa, solid welding wire + mixed gas solution is still recommended.
